A revenue crisis is every NGO's nightmare; the economic meltdown being experienced is subjecting many NGO's to funding emergencies. The crisis can be an opportunity for our non profit if we navigate it right. To do so we need the right skills.

Towards this Kenya Association of Fundraising Professionals organized the “Essentials of Fundraising” training offered by the American Association of Professional Fundraisers on 12th to14th August 2009 at the Nairobi Safari Club in Kenya.

 

Guest Speakers:

The Training was facilitated by two Certified Fundraising Executives from the North America Trish Mongeon and Julie Wirtanen.

The workshop will cover 5 modules

  • Getting your development programme ready for fundraising.
  • Annual giving for your organization.
  • Board and volunteer development for fundraising.
  • Individual Major Gift Fundraising.
  • Grant Seeking-Corporates, Foundations and governments.

 

Training Fee:

The training cost Ksh 18,000 per participant

All participants were awarded 22.0 points towards their CFRE certification.
